Jimmy G's Golden Catering is the preferred caterer for Jimmy G's Restaurant & Catering.  We are proud to feature Chef Eric Fisher, Pittsburgh’s 2007 Super Chef Awardee.

Here at Jimmy G's, we work hard to provide the most comfortable dining experience while complementing it with a congenial service staff. Our servers strive to personalize every dining experience. Our banquet facilities accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 500 guests.

Jimmy G s has received numerous awards from local readers polls over the more than 17 years for fine food and service, and in 2001 we were awarded the Bronze Medal by Pittsburgh Magazine's readers for BEST DESSERTS in Pittsburgh. Most recently Jimmy G's was awarded the Silver Award for best restaurant in the North, and the Gold award for best catering by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and on June 28th we received the First Place Judges Award, and runner-up People's Choice Award in the 'A Taste Of Pittsburgh Pasta' contest.

James Guenther, Jr.

Mr. James Guenther, Jr (Jimmy G) started Jimmy G’s Restaurant over seventeen years ago with the dream of providing the community with a restaurant where they could ‘Wine and Dine in Casual Elegance.’ He has done just that. Aside from winning numerous awards (Best New Restaurant, Best Service and Best in Pittsburgh) Jimmy has created an atmosphere that is exclusive to Jimmy G’s. Delicious food, a friendly staff and charming ambiance is what Jimmy has aspired to establish in his restaurant. Jimmy G has worked very hard to build his business and continues to carry on these fine traditions in his new location, and through Jimmy G's Golden Catering.

Eric came to us from Seattle Washington, where he had worked for such famous restaurants as The Space Needle, Benjamin's and The Foghorn. After marrying his wife Carol, a Pittsburgh original, he moved across the country and found Jimmy G’s on the referral of his God Parents. "Fish" trained at CEC Richard Magliettas Private Culinary School and has attended numerous workshops at the CIA Greystone in Napa Valley, CA. Being from the West Coast, Eric enjoys preparing dishes made with exotic fish, including rare Sunfish from Hawaii and Trout from Tasmania. Eric has added some of his signature dishes to the already popular menu at Jimmy G’s, helping to maintain Jimmy G’s as a premiere restaurant in Pittsburgh.  Eric recently was crowned the 2007 Pittsburgh Simon Super Chef.
